Our site uses an order form for customers to request information, products, and services. While we retain this data, we will protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. That said, we advise that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and cannot guarantee absolute data security.
CrateChef is hosted by Subbly.co and utilizes Stripe.com payment processing. Stripe is a Cerified level 1 PCI DSS compliant hosts which is the highest attainable security rating for credit card processing. In both cases, your credit card information is passed directly from your browser to the credit card processing host and this data is never accessible by CrateChef. For recurring orders, where your credit card information is “stored” for future recurring orders, the actual credit card information is not retained directly, but instead it is tokenized. If you want the technical details of the process you can check out this article. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokenization_(data_security).
